What is skin tightening with radio frequency?
EndyMed 3DEEP Radio frequency (RF) is a form of electromagnetic energy, which is transmitted to the deep layers of the skin where lasers and other devices cannot penetrate.
If a skin tightening radio frequency treatment is focused and performed correctly, it will cause the collagen to heat to a level where it will contract and start to tighten and lift the skin. This is the immediate response to the skin tightening treatment, the ongoing benefit being the production of new collagen which re-models your skin naturally, producing long term tighter and firmer skin.
What makes EndyMed skin tightening different to other skin tightening treatments?
Radio frequency treatments for skin tightening have been available for a few years now, however not all of these are the same. There are two key factors to a successful skin tightening treatment, the depth of energy penetration into the skin and what temperature the collagen in the skin is heated to. Traditional radio frequency devices do not penetrate the skin deeply enough, they may provide an instant lift but due to lack of depth of penetration, long term results will be hard to achieve.
The main advantage and selling point of the EndyMed skin tightening treatment is its 3DEEP technology, this allows the energy created by the radio frequency device to reach the deeper layers of the skin where the collagen lies as shown in the diagram below. A course of 6 treatments over 8 weeks is recommended. The first 4 treatments take place over the first 4 weeks and the last 2 take place at weeks 6 and 8. It is important that you are able to commit to this treatment programme, as it is designed to provide you with the best long term results.
If you have a special occasion coming up, you can of course have a single treatment, which will provide you with an instant lift/tightening effect for a few days after. We would recommend having a treatment roughly 2 – 3 days before the event. There will be some long term benefits to a single treatment but for the optimum results, a course is recommended.
