Botox Anti-Wrinkle Injections in Leeds
We all experience an increase in fine lines in our skin. Over time these deepen and become more visible, as the tiny muscles in the face crease them into static lines and wrinkles.
Many people would like to relax these wrinkles and lines. Botox injections are incredibly effective, allowing the skin to return to its natural condition.
Botox is a naturally occurring protein, purified into a prescription-only medication. Combined with the expertise of highly trained specialist Aesthetic Nurses, our patients find it offers incredible results.

Botox Reviews
"This was my first visit to the clinic. My nurse was Jane O'Brien and the results were amazing. I have had Botox several times but this was by far the best.
Also - lovely, friendly but professional."

"First time at GSD. Jayne made me feel at ease and so welcome. She was so gentle and I couldn't believe it when she had finished - virtually couldn't feel it.
Can't wait to come again."

What is Botox?
Botox is the world’s most popular anti-ageing treatment. First used in 1990, it remains the only medically approved treatment to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles in adults. It is the number one selling treatment of its kind in the world and is approved by the MHRA for both medical and cosmetic use in the UK.
Botox is a naturally made protein than is then purified and suspended in a sterile sodium chloride solution. It has to be carefully stored and transported under temperature-controlled conditions.
The team of specialist Doctors and Nurses who administer Botox at our clinic in Leeds have advanced training and extensive experience in achieving a range of looks, often combining wrinkle relaxers with Dermal and Lip Fillers.
At Good Skin Days we only use 100% genuine Botox® direct from Allergan, the manufacturers of all Botox injectables. Our Leeds clinic is the largest clinic for Botox® in Yorkshire. We never offer inferior toxins such as Azzalure or Bocouture.
Botox – What happens during treatment?
Botox® is injected in extremely small doses directly into the muscles that cause wrinkles, blocking the signals in the brain from reaching the muscle. Since the protein in Botox® solution is only attracted to muscles, it has no effect on the central nervous system or on the body outside of the localised treatment area. It is a relatively quick, simple and safe procedure when performed by experienced practitioners. Several injections are required at specific sites within a localised area. The injections take just a few minutes and are delivered with a very fine needle.
Botox® is most commonly used to reduce lines and wrinkles located in the upper third of the face.
The areas suitable for treatment include:
- Horizontal forehead lines
- Crow’s feet
- Underneath the lower eyelid
- Upper lip (vertical lip lines)
- Chin (dimpling)
- Tip of nose (droopy tip)
Botox is a prescribed drug and should be delivered in a medical environment by a fully trained & qualified Nurse or Doctor.
Prior to Botox Treatment
- Avoid the use of alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.
- Ensure that you let your Medical Practitioner know of any medications that you are taking, but especially if you have recently taken Warfarin, aspirin or any other anti-coagulant medication.
- We do not recommend treatment if you are on a course of antibiotics.
- We cannot treat patients who have taken the medication Roaccutane within the last 6 months.
Following Treatment
- Any small raised areas at the injection site will disappear within 1-2 hours following treatment.
- Bruising, redness and tenderness to the injection site is common and will resolve in several days.
- Do not rub or massage the treated area for 24 hours.
- Do not lie down or do strenuous exercise for 4 hours after treatment. Feel free to shower and go about your regular daily activities.
- Avoid alcohol consumption for 12 hours.
- Avoid applying makeup to the area for 12 hours. Youngblood mineral makeup may be used immediately after.
- Avoid extreme sun exposure, UV light, freezing temperatures and saunas for 2 weeks.
- If your forehead has been treated, you might experience a slight headache a couple of days after treatment as the muscles relax. An over the counter painkiller should ease this symptom.
The results of Botox are not permanent. We recommend for best results to have regular treatments every 3 months. Usually after repeated treatments results will last longer and treatments can be spaced every four, five or six months.
